I received my USB cable; however, it is not retracting properly?

Retractable cables (all retractables, not just ours) require that both ends be pulled out simultaneously in order to function properly. When only one side is pulled out, sometimes you can hold the button down and then extend the other side to the same length. Once they are both extended to the same length, you can release the button and then extend both sides to the fullest position (simultaneously of course!). Once they are fully extended, you should be able to press the retract button and have both ends wind up back into the unit. Please give this a shot.
