Motorola phones are very strange with USB cables. They will not charge the device unless the USB drivers are properly installed. If you do not first install the drivers before connecting your USB cable to your PC, the drivers will not install and the cable will not charge the phone. If this is what is happening to you, please follow these simple steps to fix it.

1. Connect your USB cable between your Motorola phone and your PC.
2. Go to device manager in Windows (to access device manager, right click on “my computer”, then select “properties”, then the “Hardware” tab and then “device manager”).
3. Find the “unknown device” or “other device” that has a small yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in the center.
4. Right click on the device and select “Update Driver.”
5. Follow Windows instructions to correctly install the driver.

When the driver is properly installed, the device will suddenly start to charge!
